World Children’s Day is here, and it is dedicated to the well-being of children. Comprehensive healthcare and children’s health, education, and children’s rights are some of the primary conditions that ensure the well-being of the world’s children.
JOIST Innovation Park organizes an event on children’s physical health on this important day. The event aims to familiarise children with medical terms, medical tools and examination procedures so that they understand the importance of physical care, preventive medicine and medical examination.
Pediatric ophthalmologist and surgeon Feni Touliou and pediatric orthopaedic surgeon Antonis Christou will present to parents and children how young and old alike can take care of the health of their children’s eyes and monitor the healthy development of the musculoskeletal system: Presentations and talks wholly adapted to the children’s audience, interactive activities for children with medical tools, information for parents about children’s nutrition in a way that contributes to eye and bone health.
At the end of the doctors’ presentations, parents and children can ask the doctors their questions. In addition, our little friends, wearing medical scrubs, will have the opportunity to feel like doctors themselves for a while!
This event is addressed to:
