DESCRIPTION

The contemporary art gallery BRAGGART presents the art exhibition titled Memory Warehouses at JOIST.

During the three days of activities, the art exhibition with paintings, digital art, sculptures, video and sculptural installations will be presented, while two different performances and video artworks will be shown, seeking to inspire the emotional connections of visitors on a visual, aural and psychological level, to question the unpredictable encounters and experiences of individuals in everyday and historical contexts. All to help create a repository of memory that includes personal experiences and collective histories.

Memory is a person, a concept, a feeling, an object, a smell, or another person. Small and big things bring back memories without control. Regardless of their differences in starting point, materials, media, and techniques, the visual artists in the exhibition complement each other in their approach. The exhibition constitutes a complex narrative, a shared and, at the same time, individual tour. Sometimes with an emphasis on personal experience, sometimes with a focus on history, sometimes with references to the subconscious, and sometimes with symbols, the artists counter oblivion by penetrating the sanctuary of memory.
