In recent years, there has been a significant increase in the number of women entrepreneurs, resulting in female entrepreneurship gaining momentum. Research has shown that women’s entrepreneurship, in every society and economy, is an important means of eliminating gender inequalities and social and cultural barriers, as well as a lever for achieving economic growth and promoting innovation.
How easy is it for a woman to take entrepreneurial initiatives in modern society? Are the conditions in society and the economy mature enough for every women’s business initiative to “find its space” without obstacles and exclusions? What difficulties and obstacles do women entrepreneurs face? To what extent does the existing institutional framework in Greece contribute to supporting these initiatives? Are there currently mechanisms to support women’s entrepreneurship at each stage of its development?
At Wine & Chat #2 organized by JOIST Innovation Park, women entrepreneurs will share and discuss with the audience their personal experience from their business journey. We invite you to listen to the personal experiences of women of all ages, to discover new business initiatives and women-led businesses that have stood the test of time, to highlight the difficulties, needs and stages of implementing a business idea, the opportunities to support and finance women’s business ideas, and the networks for empowering women’s entrepreneurship. All this, through the experiential stories of women entrepreneurs.
At the end of the presentations and discussions, there will be time for getting to know each other and discussion between the participants.
