Recently, we had the pleasure of participating in a series of important events in the city of Larissa, with the sole purpose of educating, entertaining, and inspiring the new generation through our renewed PLAY & LEARN educational program for the new school year.
Through interactive experiences, children had the opportunity to explore the fascinating worlds of technology, science, and research.

Science Festival at Mikel Train Park
September kicked off with JOIST Innovation Park’s participation in the Science Festival organized by Mikel, held at the Mikel Train Park on September 7th and 8th.
The festival combined entertainment with education, offering activities for children, families, and science enthusiasts.
At JOIST Innovation Park’s booth, young visitors explored our Play & Learn educational activities through fun demonstrations of robotics, programming, and virtual reality (VR).
The event was an excellent opportunity for children to engage with technology in a playful and accessible way, showing that science can be both educational and fun.
Researcher’s Night: Play and Learn in a Virtual World
Next, JOIST Innovation Park participated on September 27th in one of the most impressive scientific events of the year, Researcher’s Night.
This year’s event, held at Milos tou Pappa in Larissa, brought together scientists, researchers, and educators for an evening filled with interactive exhibits and hands-on activities.
JOIST’s contribution to this evening was based on our Play & Learn philosophy, offering children and their families the opportunity to experience:
- Play and Learn in a Virtual World: Visitors were transported into virtual environments, where they could solve educational puzzles and discover new knowledge.
- Robotic Adventures: A Cross-Cultural Journey: Young learners embarked on a journey into the world of robotics, learning how to build and program robots, enhancing their collaboration and problem-solving skills.
The enthusiastic participation of both young and old confirmed the power of interactive learning, as visitors engaged with new ideas and developed a deeper love for science and research.
Participation in the Youth Festival
Our educational journey continued with our participation in the 4th Youth Festival of Larissa. This lively festival was a meeting place for young people, where they exchanged ideas and participated in a variety of educational and recreational activities.
At the JOIST booth, visitors had the opportunity to explore virtual worlds, learn about robotics and find out about the unique opportunities we offer through Play & Learn.
The festival was the perfect platform to connect with hundreds of young people and motivate them to creatively explore the possibilities of STEM.
