THE AIM

ACSOC aims to boost the cybersecurity capabilities of European Security Operation Centres (SOCs) through cutting-edge AI tools and cross-border collaboration. The project enhances threat detection and response, supports information sharing with CERTs and CSIRTs, and strengthens SME cyber resilience—without requiring advanced technical skills. By aligning with EU regulations such as the NIS2 Directive, ACSOC promotes a secure, privacy-compliant digital ecosystem across Europe.

PROJECT ACTIVITIES

Activity 1: Requirements Definition and Use Cases Modelling

Define user and system needs, map out real-world cybersecurity scenarios, and develop a Data Management Plan. This includes validating technical requirements, ensuring privacy-by-design strategies, and aligning use cases with project objectives.

Activity 2: Threat Intelligence System Evolution

Advance threat intelligence systems with AI-powered insights. Detect emerging threats, integrate behavioral analytics, and adapt to new risk models. Facilitate secure, real-time information exchange between SOCs and CERTs/CSIRTs while incorporating geopolitical and economic threat dimensions.

Activity 3: Anomaly Detection System Evolution

Design and implement advanced anomaly detection systems using machine learning and deep learning. Enable smarter alerting mechanisms that support SOCs in detecting evolving cyber threats with transparency, explainability, and regulatory alignment in mind.

Activity 4: Cybersecurity Challenges of Federated Machine Learning AI Solutions

Develop decentralized AI models that protect sensitive data while enabling robust threat detection. Focus on privacy-preserving methods, semantic integration, and explainable AI to support secure federated systems across multiple institutions.

Activity 5: Validation and Testing of AI Cybersecurity Solutions

Test and benchmark the project’s AI solutions in realistic conditions. Create validation protocols, track KPIs, and assess system performance in terms of efficiency, fairness, and security. Optimize results based on real-time feedback and stakeholder needs.

Activity 6: Dissemination and Exploitation, Training

Promote project results through targeted communication and training. Develop a strong visual identity, host capacity-building events, and engage stakeholders across Europe. Ensure long-term impact and sustainability through strategic outreach and exploitation.

Activity 7: Project Management and Coordination

Oversee the project’s execution to maintain alignment with objectives, timelines, and quality standards. Proactively manage risks, ensure smooth coordination across partners, and deliver outcomes that meet the expectations of all stakeholders.
