JOIST Innovation Park had the honor of hosting Mr. Margaritis Schinas, Vice-President of the European Commission for the Promotion of the European Way of Life, on Saturday, June 1, 2024. The visit of the Vice President of the European Commission at the Innovation Park was part of his broader visit to the Region of Thessaly and Larissa

Mr. Margaritis Schinas was welcomed at the Innovation Park by executives of JOIST Management and the Institute of Entrepreneurship Development – iED. He was then given a tour of the JOIST premises, including the Future Learning Lab, the Makers Space, the VR Area, the Coworking Space, and the offices of companies and startups housed in the building. The Vice-President of the European Commission was informed about the distinctive features of each space, JOIST Community, and the innovative training, support, development, and funding services offered by the Innovation Park.

Finally, Mr. Margaritis Schinas welcomed and participated in the special event “Digitally transforming start-up entrepreneurship in Europe” at the JOIST amphitheater. The event was a platform for a fruitful dialogue, with the participation of start-up members and entrepreneurs from the business world, who asked the Vice-President questions about the European Union policies that promote innovation and the development of start-ups.
