Greek Mythology | An Innovative Learning Process with 12 Augmented Reality & 3D Printing Applications

In collaboration with startup Pi tech, we invite you to participate in the new educational program for children from 9 to 16 years old, starting for the first time at JOIST Innovation Park.

The program “The Greek Mythology | An Innovative Learning Process with 12 Augmented Reality & 3D Printing Applications”, enhances children’s innate curiosity, utilizing new technologies and attractive pedagogical approaches, in order for young participants to understand the influence of Greek mythology and the twelve gods of Olympus on the arts, on a global level.

As part of the project, twelve Augmented Reality (AR) applications have been developed using 3D Unity and Vuforia tools with corresponding lesson plans for children aged 9 to 16 years old. Each week the content of the training includes the presentation of one of the twelve gods of Olympus. The interactive application and active participation in an innovative learning process will help children gain a deeper understanding of mythology.

Each week’s two-hour workshop includes 3D design and printing. Children will learn the basics of the technology behind 3D printing in a fun way. They will cultivate their creativity and develop their aesthetic expression and imagination by designing and 3D printing an object representing the god studied each week.
