The management of chronic disease is perhaps the main challenge for health professionals worldwide, who are called upon to deal with various problems of the individual on an organic, psychological and social level. The chronically ill are an important social group that faces significant challenges every day.
To what extent, in what way, and with what services and products can technological developments in health contribute to improving the quality of life of this social group? Do existing technological proposals and health innovations adequately meet the needs of the chronically ill and their carers?
Given the developments in the research, medical and technological fields, InnoHealth Satellite Event #4 aims to present important aspects in relation to the management and follow-up of chronic diseases.
