We invite you to a magical adventure in nature and technology with the new educational program “Green Thumbs: Let’s Play and Explore the JOIST Vegetable Garden through the Eyes of Technology” to become young and talented gardeners! A fun two-day learning journey for children from 7 to 12 years old.
Here, we will explore together the secrets and the magical world of gardening, learn how to care for plants and discover the unique possibilities that technology offers us in developing and caring for a wonderful vegetable garden.
With a great love for nature and curiosity for new technologies, we aim to offer all children an unforgettable adventure. Be prepared to get your hands in the soil, our journey starts in the JOIST vegetable garden and goes all the way to getting to know modern technologies. From exploration and observation to teamwork and using technology tools, we’re here to make learning a fun game.
The program is split into two days. The first day covers various topics, including the basics of gardening, planting, plant care, and preparing and managing a sustainable vegetable garden. On the second day, with the help of technologies such as sensors and robots, the children will become the best keepers of the vegetable garden. Our young gardeners will take care of a plant pot based on what they have learned!
Don’t miss the opportunity to be part of this adventure! It is the perfect opportunity for children to acquire basic gardening skills, develop communication and collaboration skills, and cultivate their love of nature and technology in a playful and inspiring environment. We invite you to share knowledge, laughter and many beautiful moments in the JOIST vegetable garden. Let’s make learning an unforgettable adventure together!
The fun educational adventure is completed in two sessions, and being present at both workshops is essential to enjoy the experience fully.
