DESCRIPTION

Play, Collaborate, Learn. Play, Collaborate, Learn. The 2nd cycle of experiential education through board games will take place at the Innovation Park in the specially designed room, Future Learning Lab, and under the guidance of a special game expert/trainer. The training program for children includes four sessions per month where they will play, collaborate, and learn through board games.

Depending on their age, participants will be divided into groups of eight, and under the guidance of the game expert, they will play a selection of different board games each time.

In addition to being a recreational activity for both young and old, board games teach children to exercise their creativity, develop their imagination, and enhance a range of social skills such as critical thinking, initiative, and self-control. They are a structured social activity for the whole family. The educational programme is designed for children from 7 to 17 years old, but all family members can participate.

The aim of the programme is to cultivate all types of intelligence through the process of play. According to Gardner’s theory of multiple intelligences, intelligence is not a single intelligence, which relates only to the ability to reason, but the combination of many abilities working together:

  • Verbal/ Linguistic intelligence
  • Numerical/ Logical intelligence
  • Emotional/Interpersonal intelligence
  • Intrapersonal intelligence
  • Bodily/ Kinesthetic intelligence
  • Musical/ Rhythmic intelligence
  • Visual Intelligence – Spatial Intelligence
