We are pleased to announce the collaboration between JOIST Innovation Park and CityLab at our premises in Larissa and invite students from 1st to 3rd grade to participate in our STEM/robotics workshops!

JOIST stands alongside children, offering high-quality group educational activities with new, modern methods of teaching and education with respect to the children and parents. We bring the future to life today, right before our eyes, as we witness happy children discovering their future world and their potential through high-quality workshops.

During the new educational program in collaboration with CityLab, children participate in a cycle of 8 STEM/robotics workshops at JOIST once a week for 2 months. During the workshops, they will design and build their own robots and then present them in a specially designed festival (competition and exhibition).

“As we explore the magical world of discovery learning, children experience the joy of true creativity through crafts that solve real-world problems, develop their creative genius, and enjoy acquiring the necessary 21st-century skills: creativity, collaboration, original problem-solving, critical thinking, self-confidence, trust, and emotional intelligence – things that robots can never do.”

We are at the dawn of a technological revolution that will:

  • It is different from what we have experienced in scale and complexity.
  • Fundamentally change the way we learn, live and work.

Our idea of what is scientifically, technologically and mechanically possible is already expanding every day, and we see that the world around us is already evolving beyond what we can imagine! The aim of the STEM/robotics workshops includes, among other things, the enjoyable and creative “preparation” of children for their active participation in this new reality.

The STEM/robotics workshops are addressed to all students from 1st grade to 3rd grade, with specific content and specifications per age. We start with Robotics, Mechatronics and Computer Science and we are waiting for you!

A few words about CityLab:

CityLab is a specialized STEM centre that has been providing exclusive STEM workshops since 2014. All workshops are designed and carried out by a team of scientists or engineers with undergraduate or postgraduate studies in one or more STEM fields: physics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer science. CityLab produces workshops and educational curricula based on real-world projects and aims to make high-quality creations that solve real problems around us.
