In this open event, we highlight the concepts of circular economy and corporate social responsibility. Increasing socio-economic and environmental challenges “call” for businesses to be socially responsible, integrating in their strategy issues related to environmental protection, social justice, workers’ rights and corporate governance. At the same time, climate change brings socio-economic changes, which constantly reinforce the need for policies and decisions linked to the concept of the circular economy. The circular economy as a strategic choice is inextricably linked to the sustainability of businesses and societies.
How ready are businesses to adapt to new business models to ensure their sustainability? What resources are needed for this adaptation? Does the circular economy model offer a framework of greater sustainability for businesses than the linear economic system? What does the concept of social corporate responsibility mean? How important is “corporate responsibility” for companies to increase their performance? What are the factors that determine the development of corporate social responsibility programmes?
The event is mainly addressed to businesses, startups, investors, students, and members of local government with the primary aim of providing answers to these questions, clarifying the basic concepts of corporate social responsibility and circular economy, and presenting good practices.
